Harbour of Ships at Plymouth (exhibited here in the past)
107 x 158 cm or 42 x 62 inches Oil on Student Primed Acrylic Linen 2013
Plymouth harbour, a hub of activity then as is now. Harboured ships ready to harness the power of wind and trade or discover far away lands. In the foreground stand Captain Hudson in a small 'shallop' and behind him Robert Juett with crew members. Based on painting by Albert Bierstadt as Indians welcome them in today's Albany back in 1609. It hangs in Capital Hill. My work is for sale. The library of congress, download The Journal of Robert Juet for a good read.
